March 7, 2011 Daily Sermon: The Power Of Faith

Good day my brothers & sisters in the Lord. Today's Sermon comes from Matthew 6:25-34. Lets take a moment to look at Matthew 6:25-26: Therefore I say unto you, take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into Barnes; yet your heavenly father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? God says basically that we don't need to worry about what were gonna eat or what clothes your gonna wear. My brothers & sisters we need to learn that life itself is more important than food. Alot of us want to be in style so we try to keep up with the name brand clothes. Know this brothers & sisters those name brand clothes aren't going to get you to heaven. Take a moment to look at Matthew 6:27-30: Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow ; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is , and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? If we look at the birds they can show us that all we have to do is wait on the Lord and he will provide. But don't get it twisted god only provides for our needs and not our wants. God is always on time. When we worry we shorten our days here on Earth. My brothers & sisters I'm gonna wrap this up with Matthew 6:31-34:Therefore take no thought , saying , What shall we eat ? or, What shall we drink ? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?  (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek :) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. We all have to seek the Kingdom of Heaven before god will supply us. God loves us so he lets us choose to live for him or for sin. In closing my brothers & sisters god says don't worry about tomorrow for you have enough trouble in today than to have to worry about tomorrow.
