Daily Sermon 3/30/2011: Godly Orders To Adam

Hello welcome my brothers & sisters hold tight to your seat because we are gonna take a ride today. Take a moment and look at  Genesis 2:8-17:
8 Now the LORD God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man he had formed. 9 And the LORD God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground--trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. 10 A river watering the garden flowed from Eden; from there it was separated into four headwaters. 11 The name of the first is the Pishon; it winds through the entire land of Havilah, where there is gold. 12 (The gold of that land is good; aromatic resin and onyx are also there.) 13 The name of the second river is the Gihon; it winds through the entire land of Cush. 14 The name of the third river is the Tigris; it runs along the east side of Asshur. And the fourth river is the Euphrates. 15 The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. 16 And the LORD God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die."As we journey through the garden of Eden that the Lord planted we can appreciate Gods works just as Adam did. God supplied Adam with food to eat and every thing that he needed. In that perspective we have to look at our own lives is God supplying us with everything we need? If not than we really have to look deeply within and see why he is not. Sometimes we pray and wonder why God does not answer us but ask yourself this if we expect God to answer our prayers then why don't we obey and follow his instructions for our life. In order to recieve from God we have to go through his son Jesus Christ but also we have to be willing and able to obey. When we obey God we make our lives a whole lot easier because God is not going to ask us to do something that is going to cause us harm, pain, or hurt. God loves his children and he is  our heavenly father who wants the best for his children. If we take a look at Adam & Eve in the bible they are a prime example of what happens when we do not obey God. The bible says that God told Adam not to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. When the Lord God gives us an order he expects us to comply with no resistence. That is how you recieve your blessings from God by obeying. A Message From God Brought To You By As One Ministries.
